Your career, your rules. It’s time to redefine success.
About Me
I am Sabine Hutchison, and I help women design careers instead of climbing them. I am a scientist turned entrepreneur, co-founder and co-CEO of Seuss+, and the author of Beyond the Ladder. My own path was not a smooth upward climb. I started over in Germany after years in the United States, moved into an industry I did not know, and spent a lot of energy proving I belonged in rooms I had earned my way into. That experience is where this work comes from, and it is why I care less about helping women get promoted and more about helping them decide what they actually want.
About
My Journey
As the co-founder of five businesses (some successful and some not) and co-CEO of Seuss+, I’ve learned to merge entrepreneurial energy with a thorough, effective business strategy. My approach balances visionary ideas with actionable steps, turning potential challenges into opportunities for growth. My experiences in the U.S. and now Germany, where I’ve lived and worked for over 26 years, have shaped my “can-do” attitude and understanding of cross-cultural dynamics.
Navigating complex business landscapes has taught me the value of collaborating with trusted advisers. I believe deeply in the power of trust as the foundation of all professional relationships, which has helped forge lasting partnerships that lift both organizations and individuals to greater heights.
Beyond my business roles, I am deeply committed to supporting and empowering women. Since 2012, I have held numerous volunteer roles with the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, including serving as President for the EMEA region and as a member of the Global Board. This work is a vital part of my life, aligning with my personal values and my desire to contribute meaningfully to the community. I always encourage others to do the same.
I care less about helping women get promoted and more about helping them decide what they actually want.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sabine Hutchison is co-founder and co-CEO of Seuss+, a life sciences consultancy, and the author of Beyond the Ladder. She works with women who want to redefine career success, and speaks on career reinvention, leadership and women's health. She also hosts the Be the Ripple podcast and founded The Ripple Network.
She trained as a scientist and moved into entrepreneurship, working first in the United States and then in Germany, where she has lived and worked for over 26 years. Her early career was in male-dominated industries, including chemical hazardous waste disposal, before she moved into life sciences.
Because her own path was not a smooth climb, and the obstacles she met were not unique to her. Starting over in a new country and a new industry, she experienced the pattern many women describe: spending energy proving they belong rather than building. The work exists to redirect that energy.
Seuss+ is a life sciences consultancy Sabine co-founded and co-leads as co-CEO. It sits alongside her writing and speaking rather than separately from it, and it is where much of her thinking about organizational accountability and women's health originates.
By changing what ambition points at rather than reducing it. Ambition aimed at a title produces one kind of career. Ambition aimed at a specific contribution produces another, and it usually survives a job change. The question is not how much you want, it is what you want it for.
Where does your career actually want to go?
Beyond the Ladder is the guide and workbook Sabine wrote for women asking that question honestly.
