Background

From a young age, my amazing parents instilled in my sisters and me the importance of being “good people” and a strong work ethic. This foundation sparked my curiosity about the world and its people—a curiosity that drives me to engage in deep conversations and learn from everyone’s unique stories. After social events, I often share these insights with my husband on our drive home, and he’s always amazed at how much I uncover simply by asking questions and truly listening.

My career journey has led me through some highly male-dominated industries, where I often faced more scrutiny than my male counterparts, especially during interviews. In the US, I worked in chemical hazardous waste disposal—a field that, looking back, feels almost like something out of “The Sopranos”! But when I moved to Europe, my career path shifted significantly, bringing new challenges and opportunities.

Beyond the Ladder is a deeply personal project, reflecting my journey and the lessons I’ve learned while navigating fields where I had to continually prove myself. It’s a guide for anyone looking to enhance their career and life, offering strategies and insights to overcome barriers and succeed.

As a co-founder of Seuss+ and an active leader in the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), I draw on these experiences to create opportunities for others. My commitment to social impact, particularly in championing gender parity, motivates me to build environments where everyone can excel.
